Elena
leadership, volunteers, adoptions, instagram, care of the dogs
Elena has realized her dream of having a PLACE for STRAYS on her own piece of land. She runs the shelter together with her mother and besides her work with the dogs, she looks after the volunteer program, the Instagram account and takes care of our dog mediations. Above all, she looks every single dog deep in the soul.
Aline
medical care, dog feed, water, care of the dogs
Aline has been active in animal welfare for many years. In the PLACE for STRAYS, she leads the team of volunteers on site, coordinates the admission of new dogs, their medical care and everything related to "dog health". She has the total overview of our dog-human-bustle and is always on the spot.
Dianne
care of the dogs, voluntary plan
Dianne has been with PLACE for STRAYS from the beginning, is very loyal and absolutely reliable. With her English-rough manner she always tries to hide her soft core, but no chance! We all know, and so do the pelt-noses, that she has a heart like a mine!
Hany
care of the dogs
Hany has also been with us from the very beginning. Our sunshine always has a smile on her face and looks after our pelt-noses with a lot of competence and calmness. She often brings her children with her and shows them what active animal welfare really is. A great role model!
Maggie
care of dogs
Maggie met us when she was looking for a dog. She liked our PLACE for STRAYS so much that she offered her help. Since then, she and her husband Justin have enriched our team. P.S. She found the dog with us: Boomer.
Anabela
care of dogs, property maintenance
Anabela takes care of the maintenance of our property. But not only that, with a lot of love and attention she takes care of the mental health of our pelt-noses and always takes in sick pelt-noses for care.
Catherine

Katie comes to help reliably several times a week and does all the work conscientiously and quickly. An absolute power woman! After having her in foster care she adopted our sweet Daisy.
Marine
care of the dogs
Marine is our youngest team member, but despite her young age she is in no way inferior to the other helpers. She takes care of our dogs reliably and with a lot of heart. And she also adopted one of our dogs: Ella.
Claudia
Leash training, socialising outside the PfS
Claudia is our sports cannon! Almost every day she comes by and picks up 2-3 pelt-noses, with whom she then runs through the terrain or takes them into town for behavioural training. A power lady with a huge heart!
Alessa
care of dogs
Alessa only wanted to stay a few weeks and help. The weeks turned into months and will surely turn into years, which we are very happy about. Ginny and Ivy are also happy because they were adopted by her.
Daphne
care of dogs
Daphne has not been part of our local team for quite so long. With her warm-hearted nature and infectious motivation, she has integrated super immediately and it feels like she has always been there. And the pelt-noses love her too.
Vanessa

Vanessa has supported our shelter from the beginning. She has always had sponsored dogs and two of our babies were adopted by her. Since she has been living in Portugal, she has been actively helping out on site and the team and the furry noses are delighted!
Katja
construction an maintenance
Katja from Frankfurt has lived in Portugal for many years. As the head of our association she keeps in touch with the official bodies, takes care of the memberships, organizes transports, plans building projects and takes care of the maintenance. She also keeps an eye on everyone fells comfortable, the fences are secure and the huts are tight.
